Happy Halloween!!!

Friday night our ward had trunk or treat. It was very fun. Madeline was dressed up as a tiger, Aliza was a bunny, and Rachel was a pumpkin. Grandma Pratt gave us the bunny costume and Aliza just looked adorable in it. It fit her perfectly! I don't think we'll actually go trick-or- treating tonight, but I'm going to visit Jared at work with the kids all dressed up (Madeline is a giraffe, Aliza a duck, and Rachel is yet to be decided :) We are costume collectors, what can I say? :) Oh, and did you notice my red eyes... I was going for the vampire look this year :)

Cousins

This week John and Lisa Pratt and family came and visited us because they are moving from Oregon to Utah. How exciting for them!! We had a lot of fun playing with them. Jared and I played chess with Calvin. He is already good and he is only 8! Wow! Jared disected owl pellets and Ivan loved that the most. They found a mouse or rats skull in it! Very cool... if you're into that sort of thing :) We also found out what Lisa is having... you better call her to find our for yourself so we don't spill the beans :) We love having people visit!

Rachel's three months!

I can't believe Rachel is already three months old! She is such a cute, sweet little baby. She smiles all the time and has even rolled over a few times. We all love her so much and are so happy she is part of our family.

Cheeeeeese

Aliza has started to become quite the photogenic little girl :) Whenever I pull out the camera she says (or tries to say) cheeeeese and sticks her face out to the camera while smiling this cute yet very cheesy smile. I think it's pretty adorable. I love Aliza so much, she is so fun. One of my favorite things she does is when she jumps up and down in her crib when I walk in to get her up for the day. She and Madeline usually get along great and she loves holding Rachel and "tickling" her. She even says "ticleticleticle". It's so fun having three little girls and I love each of them tons.

In Memory of Our Guinea Pigs

On September 11, 2007 our first family pet, Lily the Guinea pig, died. She got really sick suddenly and lost tons of weight and then died. Last night our second guinea pig- Fae- died. How sad! I think Fae was just lonely and now I feel really bad that we didn't play with her enough. I guess she died of a broken heart. Now she can be with Lily in Guinea Pig Heaven. They were good first pets. My heart has actually softened to having pets so I'm sure we'll have more in the future.

Puerto Rico Night

Last night was Puerto Rico night at our house. Jared served his mission there and entered the island on October 16, 2000 so we chose that day for our family to celebrate his mission. I made arroz con pollo y habichuelas(rice with chicken and beans), flan, besitos de coco (little coconut kisses), which by the way Jared said he never had in PR :) , and we drank tang- or Orange juice as the Puerto Ricans call it.
Jared and I were able to visit Puerto Rico right after we got married. It is a beautiful place. I think Jared would move there if I agreed... not in the near future :)I am thankful Jared served a mission and that he shares his stories and memories with our family.

Linder Farm

Monday we went to a place called Linder Farm. It is a really fun family farm that is really close to us. It is free of charge and they have a little kiddie maze, pumpkin patch, and hay ride. We all had a lot of fun. Madeline was really sad when we got off the tractor to go pick out our pumpkins and kept her eye out for the next tractor to come pick us up. Aliza mostly just watched the people and had fun playing with pumpkins, and Rachel just looked cute and only cried when we weren't on the hay ride :) We went last year so I think we're just making this a family tradition. It was funny because I think at least 75% of the people there were there for family home evening. What can I say, It's a great activity!!

Miss Madeline Look Alike

Madeline found this picture the other day and came out running saying, "baby Madeline!!". I said, no that's baby mommy. Can you believe how much Madeline looks like me when I was little. How fun! Madeline has been doing and saying some pretty cute things lately. Yesterday we decided to go to Oregon because it is only 30 minutes away and we haven't gone yet and we've lived here a year and a half. Anyway. We told Madeline we were going to Oregon and she said, "M-oregon and Jackson's house". (who are her cousins we just visited in Utah) So the entire time we were driving she was expecting to go to Morgan and Jackson's house. Boy was she disapointed when we came home. Madeline loves climbing in Rachel's little bathtub and she likes helping give Rachel a bath too. She's quite the little mother already.

Utah Highlights- The Pratts

Saturday night we went up to Park City and met with both of our families. The guys went to Priesthood session while the girls had a girls night out at the condo. When the guys got back we went to Hoitsville (sp?) to play coed basketball. It was fun playing with everyone.

We spent the rest of our time in Park City at the time share. It was Joe and Elizabeth, Mom and Dad Pratt, and us. On Sunday we just relaxed and watched conference and played lots of games. I think my favorite was a tie between catch phrase and a fun electronic hot potato game.

Monday Jared, Madeline, Grandpa, and I went hiking. It was really pretty. I love the mountains, beautiful fall colors and the fall weather.

There was a little room with toys and stuffed rugs to play with. The girls and I had fun becoming "Mooses" :)

In the afternoon my friend Brittney came up with her two kids (Tanner and Natalya) and we went swimming. The pools were heated and the water felt great!!

There was a really cool chess board at the condo so Jared and I just had to play.

One of our most favorite memories was Monday night when we let Madeline and Aliza climb in Grandpa and Grandma's bed when they were suppose to be sleeping. The girls were laughing and having such a great time! Definitely a fun way to finish the vacation!

Utah Highlights- The Smiths

This last weekend we went to Utah because Jared had Columbus Day off (one great benefit to working a government job :)), his parents had a condo up in Park City for the weekend, and we hadn't yet seen my parents new home, or my sisters addition on her house. It was a fun and busy, yet relaxing weekend.
On Friday night we went to Melissa and Brian's house and ate dinner with a lot of family. My entire family came and also my Grandparents and Aunt Debra and Justin. It was fun being able to chat with everyone and see the cousins play together.

Aliza was looking at her Great Grandpa Spencer for such a long time. It was a perfect picture moment!!!

On Saturday we watched conference and got to see my sisters Carly and Kaylie in the 2nd session because they were in the choir! Cool! They are famous!

Broken Glasses

The other day Jared broke his glasses. How did he do that you might ask... was it basketball? no. football? no. Did he climb a tree and a branch broke off and hit his eye? no. Okay, what really happened is dum dum dum..... Jared hit his eye while opening the car door. It was early... and I have to admit that I've done it before too, but it was still funny. The funniest thing actually was when he came home from work. He used a paper holder to hold his lens to the glasses. Funny picture :)
