Pictures

I almost got a picture of all 4 looking... maybe my sister Melissa can photoshop Amaya's hand out of the picture :) The dress Madeline is wearing (by the tree) is the very first dress I made. It's fun that she finally fits into it!

Jared's Haircut

Jared has always wanted me to buzz his hair, but I've never let him until now. We decided to let the girls cut Jared's hair-we made sure to tell them to NEVER cut their hair.... I think they had fun :) Jared didn't realize I had given him a mohawk, so it was funny. I think I like the normal cut better, but a buzz cut is nice for summer. :)

Amaya's Growing!

Last week I took Amaya in for her 2 month check-up. She was in the 48th percentile for weight, weighing 11 lbs 4 oz, and in the 70th percentile for length (23.25 inches). That is WAY bigger than any of our girls have ever been at this age. They were in the 5th percentile :) She's such a sweet little baby and has even laughed for me a couple times!

Too Much Fun!

We had so much fun Memorial weekend. Jared took off Friday and had Monday off, so we had a four day weekend and didn't have any plans. On Thursday night we went hiking in the mountains with Jared's co-worker Brad and his family. It was a lot of fun. At first none of the girls wanted to walk so that was a little tricky, but on the way back they ran up the hill for about 1/2 mile. The way back to the car was so nice and the sun was setting. It was a great start to our weekend!

Friday night we decided to go camping in our back yard, and of course that means having a bonfire too:). The girls loved the smore's and were SO dirty! Good thing we were camping :) If it were up to Jared we would camp all the time, so we're "practicing" in our back yard before we venture out into the wilderness.

Saturday morning we went to the sand dunes about 1 1/2 hours away. On our way there we bought 3 bunnies at a garage sale. I think we'll only really keep one of them, but the girls are enjoying them for now.

The sand dunes were really fun for the first little bit, but then it got WAY too hot. Luckily there was a lake right there also so the girls all went swimming. They loved it.

Sunday we relaxed and then Monday we went to the park close to our house and practiced batting with our new baseball bat and balls (also from the garage sales) Then we went to a free water park. Close to the water park there is a river/creek that Jared wanted to jump into. When he put his foot in the water he realized it was REALLY cold. So he was having second thoughts. He told me that I should jump in and I said "okay I'll do it". So I went and jumped in the river. It felt so good! It was definitely cold, but it just felt really good to clear my mind. Jared decided since I jumped in he'd now have to :) So he jumped in too. (We'll post a movie later).

We had a lot of fun that weekend. Good thing I have a husband who likes to have fun and enjoy life... otherwise I might have spent all weekend cleaning. Nature is much more fun!!
