We went to Utah for a number of reasons in July. It actually worked out really conveniently. First we went to Jared's parent's house to spend the 4th of July with them. It is also Jared's Dad's birthday on the 4th so we had a birthday celebration, lit fireworks, watched the freedom festival (with a great view I might add), and at hotdogs from a fire built at the Pratt Ranch. It was really fun spending the 4th of July with family. It's been 4 years since we were last with family on the 4th.

I have to say that Calvin's wham on the last swat of the pinata was the best, since the pinata's head went flying over Aunt Elizabeth's head and almost got her! Not to mention Reed's exciting lizard (toy for pinata) that be put on Aunt Elizabeth that sent shrill screams throughout the picnic. I am still laughing. What fun!!!
