This is a must listen. This was given February 1962 at BYU. Ezra Taft Benson was extremely conservative and was secretary of agriculture under Eisenhower.

[clipped Harry Reid bashing out in order to promote more unity]

By the way, I am against the government bailing out all these people. I couldn't stand at the last debate how both candidates put no blame on the American people for the loans they couldn't pay back. "It's all the lender's faults" they say. Well, didn't the people accept to take those loans? The American people are definitately living above their means. The government also is living above its means as well. People usually follow the example of their leaders. Oh well, these are some political thoughts by Jared.

Harry Reid is a disgrace. I agree too that the people are to blame for their greed in wanting to own more than they could afford. And by the way, you are having a girl, because I have foreseen it in a dream many moons ago, even before I knew you were pregnant. And her name shall be Martha. (That part wasn't in the dream but I received a revelation as I was typing)

I was saying exactly the same thing to Victory last night. No one is telling the American people that they have to change. I told Victory it would be a bold move for any presidential candidate to say that because we don't want to be told the truth. Anyway, I agree with you.

Jen, thanks for talking with me the other day! It really helped. I think you're going to have a boy because our little one needs a boy cousin his age! I'm not sure what Steven thinks, but I think he also might say boy.

It's a boy...maybe.

Correction:
In the vice presidential debate Sarah Palin did hold the people accountable for getting into bad loans. She is the only conservative in the race. I will hold my nose and vote for McCain hoping that in fact she is just a few heartbeats away from being president.

Scott says girl. I hope you get a boy, but if you get a girl, then you'll already have all her clothes!

I totally agree with you. Our whole banking system is way to generous in getting people in the trap of debt. I am an example right now, though I have faith that we will be scaling down our debt. When I got my loan for our home, the banker told me that my credit was so good that I could borrow over a million dollars. I paled at the thought and said That Is REDICULOUs. I qualify for a huge trap. Pres. Clinton started it when he said all Americans should have their own home. A good idea, but taking down the safe guards was a stupid turn of events.
Yes, Pres. Benson was a great leader for farmers and those who listened to him were very grateful. Those who did not lost their farms.

PS This bail out is also lame. The bandage on the elephant. We do not need more money, we need more honesty and integrity.

I have heard his speech. He is a president with the Wake Up Call and so little have listened to him.
I am trying to do better.
