Memories of Us

This is our 200th post!! That's a pretty big accomplishment I would say! I love blogging and all of you bloggers out there. It's so much fun keeping in touch like this!

I saw this on my friends blog and thought it would be fun to do on mine...

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn’t matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It’s actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I’ll assume you’re playing the game and I’ll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don’t want to play on your blog, or if you don’t have a blog, I’ll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Sound like a lot of fun! I'll be anxiously waiting for your memories :)

Look at you guys! WOW 200 posts! That's awesome! Don't you just love blogging? It's such a great way to keep a journal of life. :)

I just remember you being the sweetest girl ever Jen, it was always fun going to school for so many years w/ you. You have the most beautiful smile, and you have such a way of being sincere, you radiate warmth and friendship. I think you are great mommy, and I look up to the way you are raising your family! :)

well sister... how many memories do I have with you... I'll choose one of my favorite ones... when you had Madeline, and mom couldn't be here yet. I remember seeing you on your bed in your apartment feeling tired and a little overwhelmed, and I remember being very pregnant & with Morgan, yet I loved being able to help you out, and do what sisters do. I feel that's when I learned to respect our differences & love you for the new mom & best friend you were. I have lots of fun memories with you... some I don't like to remember because I didn't treat you as I should have, but one of my favorites is when dad locked us in our room for being naughty, and I snuck out the window, and came and opened the door for you, and we danced around the room where dad was... and we just laughed. I think we got in trouble though. Oh, and another favorite memory is when I came to Idaho with the kids and spent the week with you. I loved after the kids were in bed and we could just talk. I Love you so much, and I'm so glad your my sister.

I feel like we have a lot of fun memories to chose from but right now I am missing our walks together the most so I'll post about that one. I always loved our walks with the kids. I miss having a friend that I can talk to about anything. You have a special way of always making the people around you feel comfortable and welcome. I look up to you in so many ways and I miss you so much.

My favorite memory is when we were six months pregnant with Natalya and Aliza. We decided to walk to k-Mart (over the overpass). I just remember pushing Tanner up that hill thinking, what did I get myself into! But then later that day, I felt great! I miss having a friend to go walking with, and hanging out with!

I remember when you started dating jared at Aspen Grove that I woke up about 9 am one Saturday and you were cooking eggs I think with my Mom and then afterward you were playing with the flinders boys. You seemed to really enjoy spending time with these children that you never had even met. I was glad that Jared was dating such a nice girl. I also enjoyed being your DJ as we drove to the rocky mountain revue game. I could tell that the love was in the air and that my hard work compiling that mix was paying high dividends.

P.S. I also loved being Jared's younger brother and sneaking up to Aspen Grove just to listen to your conversations. Well ok that really didn't happen but it would've been fun.

Well, I remember meeting you (and Jared, and Michael, and Mary) the first time Joe took me out on an "unofficial" date to Betos. (According to Joe, we hadn't started dating yet--but he DID pay). It could have been REALLY awkward, but I remember laughing with you guys and having a great time. When we officially began to date, some of my favorite dates were when we went to your house on 3rd South and played games with you and Jared while Madeline slept. I still enjoy playing games with you guys and I'm glad to be part of your family!

Jen,

So far my favorite memory is our wild morning at Albertsons getting a billion boxes of pasta! What time did I call you anyway? I think we were all in our Pj's, we had all 6 kids with us, but we were determined to get that deal! Good thing, we only spent a few dollars too!

One of my favorite memories of you is the night before you left Hawaii. Me, You and Amy sat in the hallway outside your door all night just talking and laughing. Then when I took you both to the airport we were almost to the departures gate and the song, "leaving on a jetplane" came on the radio. It was so funny.

Wow- I just did this on Melissa's and I can't think of many memories except how sweet you were and that we were kindred spirits even when I was a Laurel and you were a Beehive. Thank heavens that kind of an age gap is nothing now that we're older and both mothers! I'd love to get to know the person you've become. I think I picked you girls up and we went to the movies altogether once. I have no idea what we saw though. lol!
